PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the operation control method of a sewage compression pump in a vacuum type sewage system which can prevent a lost motion of the sewage compression pump securely, even through an error operation or a trouble is generated to a water level detecting means. ;SOLUTION: A first necessary time T1 in which the water level in a collection tank 6 is lowered from a starting water level HWL to an operation stop water level LWL, and a second necessary time T2 in which the water level is lowered from the starting water level HWL to a lost motion generating water level LLWL, are measured beforehand, a random time higher than the first necessary time T1 and within the second necessary time T2 is selected to set as the operation time TX1 of a sewage compression pump 10, and at the time when the sewage compression pump 10 is started at the starting water level HWL, the timing of a timer 11A is started, and the water level is lowered to the operation stop water level LWL, and the operation of the sewage compression pump 10 is stopped by an operation stop signal. And at the same time, at the time when the operation time TX1 has passed, an operation finish signal is output to the sewage compression pump 10 from the timer 11a, so as to finish the operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
