PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labors of construction and shorten a construction period by integrally interconnecting parallel steel tubes with connection plates connecting end edges on the peripheral face of the steel tubes at intervals of a plate width, and providing joints at a side opposite to mutual connection. ;SOLUTION: Steel tube sheet piles 1 are integrally interconnected by connection plates 4 connecting the end edges on the circumference of each steel tube 2 with the parallel steel tubes at intervals of a connection plate 4 width. Joints 3 are provided at a side opposite to mutual interconnection. The connection plates 4 are arranged in spaced relation in parallel, and their right and left edges are welded on the circumference of the steel tubes 2 to form closed spaces 5 surrounded with the connection plates 4 and the steel tubes 2. With regard to the steel tube sheet piles 1 for continuous excavation holes excavated with each excavation shaft of a multi-shaft excavator one side joint 3 is positioned to be projected from the excavation hole of one end, and the other side joint 3 has lateral width positioned to be housed in the intermediate excavation hole without interfering with the other end excavation hole. Thereby the continuous excavation holes are extended and the steel tube sheet piles 1 and the joints 3 are continued by connecting them.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
