FERTILIZER FOR BOTH RICE FIELD AND RICE NURSERY BED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the working labor for fertilization and to improve growth of rice by preparing a urea feritilizer having a coating for controlling of the fertilizing effect into a granular state by a specified method, and filling a nursery box with the obtd. granules as a nursery bed soil. SOLUTION: A urea fertilizer 2 having a coating for controlling the fertilizing effect is coated with a thick layer of a zeolite powder 1 preferably by using a konjak paste as an adhesive, and the obtd. granules are used as a nursery bed soil to fill a nursery bed box. For example, a zeolite powder is applied with a konjak paste on the coated urea LPS-100 R produced by CHISSO Co. to granulate till volume become 3 times or more that of the fertilizer (from 2mm diameter of the source material to about 3mm diameter of the granules). Then a liquid fertilizer in a amt. required for growing rice seeds is sprayed. Then the obtd. granules are put in a nursery bed, on which rice seeds after germination are sprayed. Then raised nursery plant is transplanted into a rice field by using a rice transplanter.
