PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an afterglow composite obtaining high phosphor brightness even if equal in hue as compared with a mixed system of color pigment and a phosphor element and capable of being produced even if usual color ink is used by containing a phosphor element-containing layer and a coloring agent- containing layer. SOLUTION: An afterglow composite is constituted in such a state that a phospor layer and a color layer are separated. Herein, the phosphor layer is a layer substantially consisting of a phosphor element and a binder and the color layer is a layer substantially consisting, of a coloring agent and a binder. By providing the phosphor layer and the color layer, high light emitting brightness is provided even if a hue is same. This afterglow composite is formed by successively forming a phosphor layer and a color layer on a substrate by a printing or coating layer. For example, the phosphor layer is formed by using ink prepared by mixing a phosphor element and a binder-containing medium and the color layer is formed by using ink prepared by mixing the coloring agent with the binder-containing medium.
