PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an oil leak from a fitting part of an oil seal, in a crankshaft oil seal structure for an engine. ;SOLUTION: In a lower end part of a cylinder block 20, a lower case is connected, and a crankshaft is supported by a bearing part 26. In a rear end part of the cylinder block 20 and the lower case, a half split fitting part 43 is formed, and a cylindrical fitting part is formed in the periphery of the crankshaft. In this fitting part, an oil seal is press fitted to seal between the fitting part and the crankshaft. In both side parts of the fitting part 43 of the cylinder block 20 and the lower case, a boss part 47 is formed, and a bolt hole 48 is provided in the boss part. By connecting the boss part 47 of the cylinder block 20 and a boss part of the lower case to each other by a bolt, a surface pressure of a connection surface between the fitting part 43 of the cylinder block and the fitting part of the lower case can be increased, and an oil leak from the fitting part 43 and the fitting part of the lower case can be surely prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
