HIGH STRENGTH LIGHT-WEIGHT BUILDING MATERIAL EXCELLENT IN HEAT INSULATION AND SOUND INSULATION PROPERTIES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light-weight and high strength building material excellent in heat insulation and sound insulation, by holding a member having a honeycomb structure by a member chiefly made of a hydraulic raw material or sticking it thereto. ;SOLUTION: The inside of the structure is a honeycomb sandwich structure. A honeycomb or a honeycomb core is put like a sandwich between metallic plates, synthetic resin plates, solidified materials of synthetic resin fiber, natural fiber, or inorganic fiber having a plate-form shape, or cloths, to form this structure. Rigid foaming resin boards like polystyrene, polyurethane are stuck to the front and rear faces of the honeycomb sandwich structure with an adhesive. And further, it is put between boards made of cement as a chief raw material or stuck thereto to form building materials. Accordingly, this stracture has a number of voids and hence, a building material excellent in heat insulation, sound insulation, and bending strength can be obtained by use of a honeycomb structure constituted of assembled bodies of fine tubes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
