PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a totally enclosed fan-cooled air-cooled heat exchanger type of dynamo-electric machine equipped with a heat exchanger of such constitution in conformity with the distribution of the quantity of wind in the direction orthogonal to the axial direction. ;SOLUTION: This induction motor is provided, on the main body 2, with a heat exchanger 31 which performs the heat exchange between outer cooling air flown inside a pipe 5 by an outer fan and inner cooling air circulating from inside of partition plates 33 and 34 to its outside severally on the side of the first region and the side of the second region B by an inner fan, having a partition plate 3 which halves the inner space into the first region A and the second region B, said partition plates 33 and 34 which halve the areas under the first and second regions A and B into inner regions and outer regions, and many pipes 5. In this case, the partition plates 33 and 34 are tilted in axial direction, and the hand of the ventilation path on the side where a rotary shaft rotates up is made wider than that of the ventilation path on the side where it rotates down in the above inner region.
