PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for knitting a knitted jacquard comprising a double jersey tissue, such as a rubber jacquard or a bag jacquard, as a cylindrical knitted fabric by the use of a flat knitting machine, capable of giving diverse seamless knitted fabrics. SOLUTION: This method for knitting a knitted jacquard comprising a double jersey tissue on a cylindrical knitted fabric comprises assigning wales to needles on a needle bed so that the number of the wales at a part hidden on the inner side of the cylindrical knitted fabric on the side for forming the knitted jacquard is the half gauge of the number of wales at a part expressed on the front side of the knitted fabric, transferring stitches at a part hidden on the inner side of a knitted fabric on the side for knitting a jacquard caught by the needles of the first needle bed to the needles of the second needle bed, forming the stitch courses of the knitted jacquard with the needles of the second needle bed, and subsequently returning the stitches at the part hidden on the inner side of the knitted jacquard formed with the needles of the second needle bed to the needles of the first needle bed, thus finishing the knitting of the stitch courses of the knitted jacquard.
