PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a hollow fiber membrane from becoming blocked by a microsolid or the separation performance of the hollow fiber membrane from becoming deteriorated by the microsolid by discharging a bubble from the hollow fiber membrane which constitutes a gas-liquid separator incorporating at least, one unit made up of a bundle of hollow fiber membranes out together at a specified interval on a metal net-like reinforcing material and measuring a differential pressure to enable the self-cleaning process. ;SOLUTION: A liquid 20 containing a bubble to be supplied from the inlet 7 on a gas-liquid separation device 1 comes into contact with at least, one unit 4 made up of a bundle of hollow fiber membranes put together at a specified interval on one of the faces of a metal net-like reinforcing material incorporated in the gas-liquid separation device 1. The bubble is resident on the metal net-like reinforcing material, then passes through a communicating pipe 5 after coming into contact with the hollow fiber membrane and is exhausted as a gaseous substance 22 from a decomporessor 6, Further, the liquid passes through a gap between the metal nit-like reinforcing materials and is drained from an outlet 8 as a liquid 21 containing no bubble. When a clogging is generated, it is eliminated by detecting a differential pressure through differential pressure taps 9, 10 arranged on the inlet 7 and the outlet 8 of the gas-liquid separation device 1 and switching a valve to change the outlet and the inlet sides.
