PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surface-lubricated steel sheet satisfying the requirement for all the performances necessary in plastic working, such as marring resistance, lubricity, blocking resistance and film removal. ;SOLUTION: The steel sheet is provided with a lubricating film having a thickness of 0.5-10μm and obtained by coating base metal with a treatment containing a water-soluble and/or water-dispersible alkali-soluble resin having a glass transition temperature of 10-85°C, a silane coupling agent in an amount of 1/10n to 10/n wt.% depending on the number n of the functional groups capable of bonding to an inorganic substance, based on the solids of the alkali- soluble resin, and a metallic soap in an amount of 0.5-10wt.%, based on the solids of the resin and drying the coating.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
