PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency in execution of works by making the works executable continuously without troubles of attaching or detaching jacks each time for execution of pipe jacking works. ;SOLUTION: The jacking device described herein is installed in a shaft 1 wherein a pipe 11 to be jacked can be inserted with its position facing the direction of jacking, and is constructed so that propulsive force works on the pipe 11 in the direction penetrating a starting pithead 1a opened at the peripheral wall of the shaft 1. At the same time, a jacking mechanism worked by a cylinder 3 and a mechanism that enables the axis of the cylinder 3 to bend toward the peripheral wall-side in the shaft 1 from a position coaxial with the direction of jacking are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
