PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive and space-saving carbon dioxide gas concentration detector by predicting the variation with time of the electromotive force of a carbon gas sensor using a calibration means and then calibrating the output value from a signal output variation section based on the predicted variation. ;SOLUTION: The calibration means 17 comprises an algorithm circuit section 18 and an adding section 21. The algorithm circuit section 18 comprises a discharge characteristics memory section 19 prestored with the discharge characteristics of a carbon dioxide gas sensor 1, and a section 20 for measuring the accumulated working time of the carbon dioxide gas sensor 1 and outputs a calculated decrease of electromotive force corresponding to the accumulated working time. The adding section 21 adds first and second inputs, i.e., the outputs from a signal output converting section 2 and the algorithm circuit section 18, and outputs the sum. Output signal from the adding section 21 is inputted through a signal converting section 22 to a display section 23 where a calibrated concentration of carbon dioxide gas is displayed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
