MICRO-STRIP POWER FEEDING CYLINDRICAL SLOT ANTENNA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable more suitable communicating between an object and a satellite by providing slots which are arranged in conductive coating and have helical structure and a feed line, etc., which corresponds to the respective slots, intersects the individual slot and extends over the slots by means of prescribed distance. ;SOLUTION: A slot antenna is provided with a cylindrical base member, a conductive coating arranged in the cylindrical base member, radiant slots 180 which are arranged in the conductive coating and have helical structure concerning the cylindrical base member and micro-strip feed lines 200. The respective radiant slots 180 are etched on the grounded surface 240 of the individual micro-strip feed line 200 by a helical style on the surface of a cylinder 100. The respective micro-strip feed lines 200 transverse the individual radiant slot 180 orthogonally and extend towards the individual radiant slot 180 by distance D. In a suitable execution example, distance D is about the 1/4 wavelength of the system.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
