NEW COPOLYMER AND WATER-REPELLING AND OIL-REPELLING AGENT CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new copolymer excellent in yellowing resistance to a material to be treated and capable of forming water-repelling and oil-repelling agent enabling a short-time cure and low-temperature cure. ;SOLUTION: This new copolymer comprises (a) about 30-70wt.% perfluoroalkylethyl (meth)acrylate represented by the formula CH₂= CRCOOCH₂CH₂Rf (R is hydrogen atom or methyl group; Rf is a 4-16C perfluoroalkyl group), (b) about 25-60wt.% stearyl (meth)acrylate, (c) about 1-15wt.% 2-chloroethylvinyl ether and (d) about 0.1-5wt.% N-methylol (meth) acrylamide and optionally ≤5wt.% hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
