PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peeling method of a foil film-ballade plating of a gravure cylinder by which the foil film-ballade plating with film thickness below half of former one can be smoothly cut off without scattering. ;SOLUTION: A winding up piece is made at a place near a cylinder end face in the foil film-ballade plating at a peripheral surface of the roll to be engraved, the winding up piece is cut and peeled and is inserted into a vacuum nozzle for recovering the ballade plating piece, a blow off nozzle is directed to between the winding up piece and the gravure cylinder and further is directed almost to the peripheral direction of the roll, then extra-high pressure fluid is blowed off from the blow-off nozzle and the foil film-ballade plating is wound up and is stripped off so that the wound up piece becomes long and belt-shaped. Then relative position between the vacuum nozzle and the blow-off nozzle is fixed so that the wound up piece which is long band-shaped is sucked in the vacuum nozzle, the roll to be engraved is rotated and the nozzle is moved in a longitudinal direction of the roll surface to strip off the foil film-ballade plating on the peripheral surface of the gravure cylinder in a spiral shape.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
