PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a fast display reply time by using a data storage area in common for storage of program data and a page memory so as to secure the storage area largely to store program data when number of pages is less especially thereby improving the operating efficiency of the memory. ;SOLUTION: A data storage area 1 to store received teletext data is divided in the unit (block) of predetermined byte numbers and program data and page data share the same area. A status bit table 2 indicates whether or not data are stored in each block of the data storage area 1. An information table 3 stores a program number, a page number and a block number to manage program data stored in each block. An information bit table 4 is used to discriminate whether or not each block of the data storage area 1 includes page data, and an information table 5 manages the page data. Thus, the share of the memory for the program data and the page data is conducted flexibly.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
