PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical hole excavating machine which is wholly formed compact through the improvement of an excavating mechanism and a soil discharge mechanism, and can moreover obtain high working efficiency. ;SOLUTION: A vertical hole excavating machine for a caisson tape pile foundation is equipped with a vertical screw conveyor device 16 having elevating, turning and side approaching functions; an excavating cutter device 15 which is attached to the tip of the screw conveyor device 16 and has a sediment taking-in function for sending an excavated sediment into the screw conveyor device 16; and the excavating machine body 3 which is composed of a sediment accumulating hopper device 17 provided in one body with the screw conveyor device 16 to accumulate the sediment discharged from the upper discharge port of the screw conveyor device 16, and elevatably and hanging supported from the ground. The above excavating machine is moreover composed of an discharged soil backet which is hangingly supported by the elevating device on the ground to act with the elevating, turning and side approaching functions of the screw conveyor device 16, and loads the sediment thrown down from the sediment accumulating hopper device 17.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
