SELF-SHRINKABLE WEDGE FIXING RAIL GUN AND SUPPRESSING METHOD OF INTERRAIL REBOUNDING FORCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail gun to be excellent in assembly workability and maintainability. ;SOLUTION: Since, though an interrail rebounding force f1 intends to spread a pair of wedge members 8R and 8L to the outside, wedge surfaces 8a and 8b make contact with wedge surfaces 4a and 4b, a part of a force to spread a pair of the wedge members 8R and 8L to the outside is converted into a force f2 to press a pair of fixing steels 4T and 4B against each other for offsetting with each other. Since a need to use a number of bolts and effect fastening by a uniform force is eliminated, workability of assembly of a rail gun 100 is extremely improved. Further, since a need to effect re-fastening of a number of the bolts is also eliminated, maintainability is also remarkably improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
