PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for heat transfer image receptor sheet, and a heat transfer image receptor sheet which are in excellent in surface smoothness, by which a sufficient image density can be obtained, and which are excellent in bend resistance and wrinkle resistance. ;SOLUTION: This polyester film for heat transfer image receptor sheet is a polyester film containing micro-voids, which is obtained by biaxially drawing and heat-treating a polymer mixture wherein at least one kind or more of thermoplastic resins being incompatible with the polyester, are mixed with the polyester, and of which the apparent specific gravity is 0.7-1.3. Then, at least on one surface of the micro-void containing layer (layer A), a polyester layer (layer B) which contains a large amount of inorganic particles, is bonded, and the concentration of the inorganic particle in the layer B is 20wt.% or higher, and the thickness of the layer B is 1-20μm, and less than 30% of the film overall thickness.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
