PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compare and discriminate respective aerial photohraphs and to enter the kind of a change surely and efficiently by a method wherein one out of two aerial photographs which have been converted into digital image data is projectively transformed and the image data which have been projectively transformed are compared so as to be displayed. ;SOLUTION: Two aerial photographic are basic data used to discriminate a change in a land use state and a house shape. In the aerial photographs, an identical area is photogarphed from the sky in respectively different periods, and the aerial photographs are converted into digital data so as to be held. Then, the two photogarphs are made to correspond to each other in such a way that identical subjects for photography which have been taken on the two photographs agree. Then, image data on one side is projectively transformed so as to be corrected by a previous-year main display window MW1, a current- year main display window MW2, a previous-year zoom display window ZW1 and a current- year zoom display window ZW2 in such a way that the inclination in the longitidinal direction, that in the transverse direction, the rotation and the reduced scale with reference to the ground of a camera at a time when the photographs are taken agree between the two photographs. Consequently, the image data which have been projectively transformed are displayed so as to be compared by a view display window NW, and the change in the land use state and the house shape can be detected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
