PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject heat resistant alloy by incorporating proper amounts of W and Mo into a Cr-Ni-Co-Fe alloy. ;SOLUTION: This alloy has a composition consisting of, by weight, ≤0.15% C, 1-2% Si, 1-2% Mn, 25-32% Cr, 10-25% Ni, 25-45% Co, 0.05-1% W, 3.5-8% Mo, and the balance Fe. By incorporating W and Mo in combination, high temp. compressive deformation resistant and oxidation resistance can be improved by the synergism of Co, W, and Mo, in particular. W has an effect of improving creep ructure strength and also an effect of improving high temp. compressive deformation resistance to a greater extent by its combined incorporation with Co and Mo. The desired effect cannot be obtained when the content of W is below the lower limit, and, when it exceeds the upper limit, oxidation resistance is adversely affected. Molybdenum has a function of improving compressive deformation resistance similarly to Co; however, the high temp. compressive deformation resistance improving effect cannot be obtained when the content of Mo is below the lower limit, and, when it exceeds the upper limit, toughness is remarkably deteriorated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
