PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To joint a pipe postively by reducing insert resistance of the pipe into a socket, and fixing a fixing part to the end of the pipe at the outside of the socket so as to confirm the jointed state of the pipe and socket. ;SOLUTION: A detachment preventive ring 24 having an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of a pipe 12 and accommodated in a ring storage part 18 of a socket 14 is provided with a fixing part 28 through a connecting part 26 extended to the outside of the socket 14. At the time of inserting the pipe 12 in the socket 14, the pipe 12 is inserted in the loose state of the fixing part 28 so as to reduce insert resistance of the pipe 12. Since the fixing part 28 is arranged outside of the socket 14, the bite of a second biting tooth 28a into the outer surface of the pipe 12 at the time of tightening the fixing part 28 can be confirmed. When the pipe 12 is moved in the direction of slipping out of the socket 14, the detachment preventive ring 24 detained by the fixing part 28 is pressed to the inclined face 16 of the ring storage part 18 so as to be contracted in diameter, and a first biting tooth 24a bites into the outer surface of the pipe 12 so as to prevent slip-off of the pipe 12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
