PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out simultaneous distillation and extraction of a volatile material to a water immiscible solvent from an aqueous medium by a method wherein the solvent and the aqueous medium which are contained respectively in different containers are separately distilled and condensed, an aqueous phase is dried up by bringing condensate liquid into contact therewith in an extraction cell, and an organic phase which is rich in the volatile material is separated. ;SOLUTION: An aqueous base material contained in a container 1 is introduced by being taken together with vapor into an extractor 3 wherein a liquid/liquid extracting chamber 5 having a cooling condenser at an upper part and an electromagnetic stirrer 6 at a lower part is provided, and distillated. A bottom part of the extractor 3 is connected to a separator 8 with a pipe 7, the separator 8 is connected to the container 1 with a pipe 9, and a condensed aqueous medium is recirculated into the container 1. Further, the solvent separated with the separator 8 is deduced into a container 10 with a pipe 15, then sent to a distillation column 11, and condensed with a condenser 12. Thereafter, the condensate liquid is refluxed to the extraction chamber 5 with a pipe 14. Further, the condensers 4, 12 are connected to a vacuum device via outlets 13, 16. Then, the containers 1, 10 are heated to a boiling point of the solvent, and the separator 8 and the condensers 4, 12 are cooled.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
