PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diminish the positional error of a magnetic head, by eliminating inclinations of a magnetic head elevating mechanism and position adjustment mechanism due to the clearance between a turning member and a holding member in the moving direction of an optical head. ;SOLUTION: A fixing member 10 is moved in a plane parallel to a magneto- optical disk to the optical head 1, and the optical head 1 and the magnetic head 12 are adjusted in position, and are fixed by fixing screws 17. There is the clearance between the holes arranged in both end walls of the holding member 7 in the moving direction of the optical head 1 and the turning member 9. However, since a load point generated by a spring member 11 to a spring receiving part 200 is made to approach a centroid of a turning part consisting of the magnetic head 12 and the holding member 7 in the moving direction of the optical head 1, an angular moment to be generated on the holding member 7 is diminished. Consequently, the inclinations in the plane parallel to the magneto-optical disk due to the clearance is difficult to take place, and hence a core 3 of the magnetic head 12 is constant in position in the moving direction of the optical head 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
