PURPOSE:To automatically transport printed sheets sequentially while the collapse of the printed sheets is prevented by correctly positioning the printed sheets by use of side guide plates and a rear guide plate on a feeder table at the time of transporting the printed sheets to a printed sheet box of a gathering machine. CONSTITUTION:Printed sheets are bound and placed, with the title on the spine up on a reversing portion 17, and an operator cuts a binding band to confirm the title on the spine. After the confirmation of the title on the spine, the reversing portion 17 is reversed in a 90-degree arc to invert the printed sheets, and the inverted printed sheets are transfer-loaded on a station A on a feeder table 2. After the printed sheets are transfer-loaded on the station A, opened side guide plates 9 provided on a movable base 3 are closed to hold both sides of the printed sheets and position both sides. Further, a rear guide plate 13 provided on the movable base 3 is turned to bring the rear guide plate 13 into contact with both end portions of the back of the printed sheets, thereby positioning the back of the printed sheets.
