PURPOSE: To efficiently decompose an organic compound in gas and liquid by arranging a reaction tank provided with a gas discharge pipe for introducing ozone into a contaminated solution and an U.V ray irradiation means, an ozone production means, and a harmful product decomposition unit. ;CONSTITUTION: An ozone.air mixture produce by the ozone production device 24 is injected into a reaction tank 14 through an introduction port 22 of a diffusion pipe and also this mixture is diffused to the whole liquid in the reaction tank 14. The ozone.air mixture in the reaction tank 14 works together with a decomposition work of U.V. rays irradiated from an U.V lamp 20 and most of trichloroethylene in the solution is oxidized. Evaporated trichloroethylene and other volatile compounds are introduced into the harmful substance decomposition unit 29 with a compressor 30, irradiated with U.V. rays from an U.V. lamp 31, and remaining trichloroethylene is decomposed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
