METHOD OF DISASSEMBLING AND REPAIR CONSTRUCTION OF UPPER SECTION OF CYLINDRICAL STORAGE-TANK PERIPHERAL WALL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disassemble and repair only the upper section of the peripheral wall of a storage tank safely at a fixed place efficiently. ;SOLUTION: An annular ring-shaped reinforcing ring 6 is installed horizontally to the peripheral wall surface of a lower section at the place of disassembly and repair of the upper section 2U of a cylindrical storage-tank peripheral wall, the periphery of the upper section of the peripheral wall 2, on which the reinforcing ring 6 is mounted, is cut horizontally and separated into peripheral wall sections 2U, 2B at an upper stage and a lower stage, and rollers 9 rotatably supporting the separated peripheral wall section 2U at the upper stage are disposed at regular intervals. A process, in which the upper end section of the peripheral wall section 2U at the upper stage rotatably supported on the rollers 9 is cut partially and removed, and a process, in which the partially-cut and removed upper-stage peripheral wall section 2U is rotated and moved on the rollers 9, are repeated successively, and all of the upper-stage peripheral wall section 2U to be repaired are cut and removed at a fixed place, thus disassembling the upper section of the peripheral wall section. The upper-stage peripheral wall section 2U is assembled and repaired at a fixed place on the rollers 9, on which the upper-stage peripheral wall section 2U is dismantled.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
