PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an estimate with simple work; to provide the exact estimate having high reliability regardless of experience or technique of a person for preparing the estimate. ;SOLUTION: Part of data in a car type memory for selecting types of automobiles is formed to hierarchical data. Related data (codes) are stored in a parts name illustration memory for constituting a parts retrieval image plane 47, a detained parts memory, a detailed wage memory serving as data for preparing an estimate, and a detailed painting memory serving as data for calculating painting expenses. A damage site memory memorizes the data of plural types of patterns meeting car types. Specifying parts on an illustration column 8 showing the illustrated drawing of the parts displays the specified parts and the parts name on a parts name column 49 in inverted coloring. On the contrary, specifying parts on the parts name column displays the specified parts and the parts on the illustrated column in inverted coloring.
