PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an adhesive which can be applied to the surface of a construction board without sagging even when the board has large roughness and provides good workability, improved working environment, fireproof and fire- resistant properties, etc., by using an inorganic powder and an organic resin adhesive as the principal materials. ;SOLUTION: This adhesive of 55-65wt.%, based on the whole weight of the adhesive, component (i), as one principal component, which is an inorganic powder, based on a fine calcium carbonate powder, is prepared by mixing this powder with a fine mica powder (both used in a weight ration of 10: (0.5-2)) and optionally clay, talc or the like and grinding the mixture to a particle diameter of 100μm or below, imparts thixotropy to the adhesive, prevents the adhesive from sagging when applied and prevents the adhesive from shrinking when dried and 2-7wt.%, based on the whole weight of the adhesive, component (ii), which is the other principal component, selected from among ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymers, polyvinyl acetates, starch and polyvinyl alcohols and a liquid medium in which components (i) and (ii) are dispersible or soluble.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
