PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound excellent in phosphorescence emission, erasing characteristics, after image characteristics, fading property and X-ray decay property, and useful for being introduced into a radiation image-converting panel to record and regenerate the radiation images. ;SOLUTION: A compound of formula I [(x), (y), (a), (b), (c) are defined by inequalities: 0(x)≤0.03; 0(y)≤0.30; 0.0001≤(a)≤0.01; 0(b)≤0.001; 0≤(c)≤0.001, respectively], e.g. a compound of formula II. The compound of formula I is obtained e.g. by charging an aqueous BaBr2 solution, an aqueous Eubr3 solution, KBr, CaBr2.2H2O and water into a reaction vessel and subsequently subjecting the mixture to their reactions.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
