PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain non-human animals having the spinal disorder which is very short in aortic block time, is minimized in factors exclusive of glutamic acid, etc., and is adequate for evaluation of medicinal effects by making the spinal cord ischemic under specific conditions and locally administering the glutamic acid, etc., thereto. SOLUTION: The aorta is blocked at =2 points to form the segments of the aorta so as to include the parts where the nutrition blood vessels communicating with the spinal cord are branched between these blocking points, by which the spinal cord is made ischemic. In addition, the glutamic acid or aspartic acid (the soln. concn. is preferably =20mM) is locally administered to these segments, by which the non-human animals, such as rabbits, rats, cats, dogs, pigs and monkeys, having the spinal disorder are obtd. The evaluation of the spinal disorder treating medicine derived from the glutamic acid or aspartic acid is preferably executed by using such animals.
