PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance operating efficiency and safety by enabling vertical movement inside a vertical shaft and horizontal movement on the ground outside the shaft to be continuously carried out while supporting a sludge bucket in a stable position. ;SOLUTION: A horizontal leader 22 which orthogonally intersects a vertical leader 21 hanging down into a vertical shaft 50 is provided above a pit mouth. Using a catcher device 1 to which a vertical running part 1A and a horizontal running part 1B are freely removably attached, rice and fall along the vertical leader 21 is effected while the vertical running part 1A is coupled with the horizontal running part 18. At the bottom of the vertical shaft 50, the soil excavated is loaded into a sludge bucket 2 suspended and supported from the horizontal running part 1B, and after the bucket is raised to the pit mouth, the horizontal running part 1B is separated so that only the horizontal running part 1B is slid along the horizontal leader 22. Meanwhile the sludge bucket 2, without loading and unloading the soil or changing the load, is continuously moved to a soil conveying position where a soil carrying vehicle 31 is waiting.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
