TATAMI (STRAW MAT) FLOOR FOR HEATING AND AIR-CONDITIONING JAPANESE STYLE ROOM FLOOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dew or mold from generating and heat and air-condition floors in a tatami (straw mat) floor system suitable for a Japanese style room by combining together a tatami floor in which a coconut fiber sheet and a silk mat are placed on a veneer plywood treated into moistureproofing and insectproofing and sewed together and a floor construction provided with a convection space for heated or air-conditioned air flow inside. ;SOLUTION: A coconut fiber sheet 4 and a silk mat 3 are placed on the upper face of a venner plywood 5 in which many vent holes 6 are provided and moisture- proofing ands insectproofing are executed, the upper face is covered with a rush matting, and they are sewed together so as to form a tatami floor 18. A floor construction 21 is constituted so that a floor veneer plywood 11 having blast holes 12 at several positions is built in the underside of a framework combining together floor edge bar 7a having staircase-like insides, floor bridge bars 10 bridged over the middle steps, and floor edge bars 7b. One side of the blast holes 12 are connected to a heating and air-conditioning blower so as to feed hot or cold air according to the seasons. By combining together the tatami floor 18 inserted with the coconut fiber sheet of excellent air permeability and the floor construction 21, hot air or cold air is effectively dispersed over the whole tatami floor, so as to prevent dew or mold from generating.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
