DEVICE FOR APPLYING PARTING AGENT ONTO CASTING DAM BLOCK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To thinly and uniformly apply parting agent onto dam blocks. ;SOLUTION: This parting agent coating device is provided with one pair of casting belts 3a, 3b at the upper and the lower parts so as to interpose the upper parts of one pair of the dam clocks 4, 5 in the right and the left sides parallel arranged with a prescribed interval, and fitted to a continuous caster for obtaining a cast slab by pouring molten metal into a mold space formed between the casting belts 3a, 3b and the dam blocks 4, 5. Then, in this device, rotary rollers 17 for applying the parting agent onto the parts in contact with cast slab at the dam blocks 4, 5 and discharge nozzles 19 for discharging the parting agent on the surface of the rotary rollers 17, are provided. Further, in order to receiver the parting agent which is not yet used, pipings 22a, 22b, 25a 25b and flexible hoses 23a, 23b 24a, 24b, are arranged between receiving dishes 16 and a parting agent tank 15.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
