PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically continue pressing in a time of starting to press, in a finishing time, or in a defective supplying time of a pressing part, even in a case of being partially empty without the pressing part by controlling the load of the press machine to drive a slide at two points at every point. ;SOLUTION: In a load controlling device 10 which drives a slide at two points and which has plural numbers of machining stages, whether a part to be pressed is mounted on all the machining stage or not is detected with a machining pattern detecting means 11. When that the part is mounted is discriminated, this machining pattern 11a is obtained in an abnormality detecting means built in an arithmetic processor 2 and that real loads 12a, 13a of every point detected with load detecting means are not within the range of allowable load stored in ROM 17 respectively are discriminated with the abnormality detecting means, the abnormality stopping means built in the arithmetic processor 21 controls to output a stop signal to the press machine 1 from an input and output port 18.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
