PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate attenuation which is received by a signal while it is carried through a telephone line. ;SOLUTION: This telephone communication device is provided with a rectifier bridge (GB) which is connected to a telephone line and feeds rectified line current, an interface module INT which sends a signal to the telephone line and feeds information current Iin and an amplifier AGC which has gain that is in proportion to the value of control current Icnt. The telephone communication device is provided with a control module CNT which supplies current Icnt that is in proportion to a linear expression exponential function of an inverse number of the value of the information signal Iin. Then, the gain G(V/V) of the amplifier AGC is described as the following, i.e., G(V/V)=K'1×exp ((K'2/ Iin)-K'3). The attenuation that is received by a signal while it is carried through the telephone line can be compensated.
