PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the effective utilization of a pulp sludge, suppression of growth of weeds over a long period, simple production, reduction in cost and natural decay and conversion of the sheet for planting into an organic fertilizer. ;SOLUTION: This sheet for managing plants comprises a sheetlike material having a ground contact layer 8, formed on the surface of a corrugating medium 3 in a single faced corrugated fiberboard 2 and consisting essentially of a pulp sludge and a skin layer 9 comprising the corrugating medium 3, having plural pleat parts 5 formed by sinking ridge parts in the ground contact layer 8 by the collapse of the ridges of the corrugating medium 3 in a process for forming the ground contact layer 8 and peeling a liner 4 of the single faced corrugated fiberboard 2 and exposing openings 5a of the pleat parts 5. In this case, the easy deformability can be imparted to the whole with the pleat parts 5 to readily bring the ground contact layer 8 into close contact with the ground contact surface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
