MEASURING DEVICE FOR ACTIVE CLAY CONTENT OF GREEN SAND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a precise and easy measurement in a short time by dispersing and diluting a sample by a turn table, carrying it by the holding means of a robot arranged adjacently thereto. ;SOLUTION: Green sand is put in a dispersing beaker successively supplied by a first beaker supplying device 2, and the beaker is held by a robot 1, and carried to a chemical balance 3 to measure the weight. The robot 1 puts the beaker on the ultrasonic vibrator 25 of a turn table 6, and supplies a fixed quantity of a reagent from a reagent nozzle 17. The active clay content of the green sand is dispersed into the reagent by a propeller type stirrer 18. During this, sodium pyrophosphate in the reagent works as a dispersing agent, and the active clay content in the green sand is peeled from the sand, and entirely dispersed into the reagent. This dispersion is extracted to a diluting beaker 28, distilled water is supplied thereto and stirred by the stirrer 18, and the diluted dispersion is put into a cell. Thereafter, the cell is carried to an absorbent analyzing device 7 by the robot 1 for analysis.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
