SOUND CONTROL METHOD FOR MONITOR FOR COMPUTER EQUIPPED WITH SOUND PROCESSING FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a multimedia monitor from generating howling adaptively to the kinds of software and hardware by setting a sound volume limit value within a range where no howling is generated. ;SOLUTION: A gain control signal GC and a microphone drive signal MD control the gain in response to a volume control signal VC, a microphone control signal MC, a volume control value, and an alteration confirmation signal VL that are provided from outside at a user's request. A microcomputer 40 outputs the gain control signal GC and microphone drive signal MD to an audio amplifying circuit 20 and a microphone driving circuit 30. The microcomputer 40 performs sound control. Therefore, the user can set the value of a volume limit level adaptively to the kind of software executed by the microcomputer 40 or the chip set of hardware fixed thereto.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
