PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a green IR and UV absorbing glass usable as a blindfold set windowpane of a vehicle by a method compatible with a commercial method for producing plate glass. ;SOLUTION: A green IR and UV absorbing glass article is provided with a compsn. consisting of a basic glass part consisting of, be weight, about 66-75% SiO2, about 10-20% Na2O, about 5-15% CaO, 0 to abut 5% MgO, 0 to about 5% Al2O3 and 0 to about 5% K2O and a solar radiation absorbing colorant part consisting essentially of 0.60-4wt.% total iron, about 0.13-0.9wt.% FeO, about 40-500ppm CoO, about 70ppm Se, about 15-800ppm Cr2O3 and about 0.02-1wt.% TiO2.
