PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an estimation method in which an estimated load is obtained by a simple computing operation by a method wherein strain measuring means or deflection measuring means are installed in (n) pieces of places, a reference load is applied to one place out of them, strains or deflections which are generated in a first place up to an nth place are measured so as to create a practical expression, (n) pieces of strains or deflections are measured in a state that a structure is used actually and measured values are substituted in the practical expression. ;SOLUTION: A first step is executed in an expenrimental place in which a facility is ready. (N) pieces of strain gages are attached to a structure, a reference load is applied intensively to a place in a first strain gage, strains which are developed in a first place up to an nth place are divided by the reference load, and a strain per unit load is obtained. Then, strains per unit load up to the nth place are computed in the same manner, and a practical expression as simultaneous equations with multiple unknowns is obtained. A second stage is executed while the structure is flying or running. (N) pieces of strain data are acquired by (n) pieces of strain gages attached to the structure. The strain data are substituted in the practical expression, a strain is computed, and estimated loads which can be estimated as acting on the first place to the nth place are obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
