PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine driving portable compressed air supply device with a small size, light weight, high portability and low noises. ;SOLUTION: Provided are an engine 100 having a centrifugal clutch 130 and an ac generating set 140; a compressor 200; a power transmission device 800 by means of which a rotary shaft of the ac generator 140 is connected to a driving shaft of the compressor 200; and an oil separating device which has oil separates 310 and 320 by means of which oil is separated from the compressed air discharged from the compressor and an oil feedback device 330 which feeds back the oil separated by the oil separators 310, 320 to an intake side of the scroll compressor 200. Provided also are a discharge pressure sensing device 600 which sense comparative relation between the discharge pressure of the compressor 200 and a preset value; and a throttle control device 640 which throttles a valve of an evaporator 110 according to an operation signal of the pressure sensing device for reducing an engine speed to an idling speed. It is thus possible to sense upper and lower limits of the pressure of the compressed air, control engine speed in two stages while switching idling speed and the higher speed, and intermittently operate the compressor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
