PURPOSE:To prevent abnormal attraction from occurring even when a disk is abutted with the front edge of the inflow tapered part of a supporter by providing a notch to secure the inflow of an air current from an upstream side in the rotating direction of the magnetic disk at the inflow tapered part of the supporter. CONSTITUTION:Even when warpage exists in the disk 10 and the disk 10 is abutted with the front edge 6a of the inflow tapered part 6 of a supporting plate 3 due to excessive flexibility, the inflow of the air current from the upstream side in the rotating direction of the disk can be secured since the notch 8 is provided at the inflow tapered part 6 in this magnetic head supporting device, and no abnormal attraction occurs. In other words, the inflow of the air current to the tapered part 6 can be secured, and positive pressure can be surely generated at a protrusive plane part 5, which pushes up the disk 10.
