PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the melting time, to reduce the power basic unit, to reduce troubles with a turner tip part and a furnace body, and to greatly improve the productivity. ;SOLUTION: An assist burner comprises a triple pipe composed of an oxygen gas ejection pipe 12 to eject the oxygen gas from a center part, a fuel ejection pipe 13 to eject the fuel from an outer circumferential part of the oxygen gas ejection pipe 12, and a combustion oxygen gas ejection pipe 14 to eject the oxygen gas for combustion from an outer circumferential part of the fuel ejection pipe 13. A reduced part 12a is provided on a tip of the oxygen gas ejection pipe 12 so as to increase the speed of the oxygen gas to be ejected from the center part. A turning blade 16 is interposed in an annular space 15 formed of the fuel ejection pipe 13 and the combustion oxygen gas ejection pipe 14 so as to turn the oxygen gas to be ejected from the outermost circumference.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
