PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute plotting at high speed even if plural client processes simultaneously execute operations in a window system based on a client server model. SOLUTION: An exclusive control common memory 3 and a common memory for sleeping client existing flag 4, which are prepared in a device driver 2, are mapped in the memory spaces of the client processes 6 and 7 and the common memories 3 and 4 are directly accessed from the client processes 6 and 7 so as to manage the state of graphic hardware 9 in the locking/unlocking processing of the exclusive control of graphic hardware 9. The device driver 2 sets the client process failed in the locking of graphic hardware 9 in a sleep state. The sleep process of the client process in the sleep state is released at timing when the client process, which is plotted at present, executes unlocking and it is set to be an execution possible state. Thus, a plotting processing can efficiently execute at high speed.
