INTEGRATION OF INFORMATION RESOURSE OF INFORMATION SERVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden of integration of information from a data base system by generating a data base sample file and specifying mapping with a different data base schema. SOLUTION: A computer system 12 is connected to a computer network 16 through a mediator 19. The network 16 is connected to data base systems 22. The mediator 19 generates a conversion map according to two data base sample files. One sample files contain information stored in the format of a local data base schema 20. The other sample file consists of the same information stored in the format of a data base schema 18 of world view. The mediator 19 converts an inquiry from a user 10 to the data base system 22 by using this conversion map.
