PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To harden a hydrolytic polymerizable compd. in a short period of time, and especially to efficiently mass-produce an electrophotographlc photoreceptor by constituting a treating chamber as a wet-heat treatment chamber to subject a material to wet heat treatment in the continuous process of wet heat treatment for a material containing a hydrolytic polymerizable compd. ;SOLUTION: This heat treating device is suitable for the mass-production of a high-performance electrophotographic photoreceptor by continuous wet heat treatment of a precursor of an electrophotographic photoreceptor as a material to be treated which contains a hydrolytic polymerizable compd. In this device, the treating chamber is designed as a wet heat treatment chamber where the material to be treated is subjected to wet heat treatment in a wet and hot atmosphere. The treating chamber is also provided with a shielding body which is opened and closed linked with a carrying state of the material to be treated. Moreover, the device is preferably provided with a temp. raising chamber where the material to be treated is heated to a temp. higher than the dew point in the wet heat treatment chamber. Thus, an electrophotographic photoreceptor of high performance and high quality can be efficiently mass-produced with stable qualities of the product.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
