METHOD AND SOIL FOR CULTIVATING SASA KURILENSIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide young bamboos or craftwork materials uniform in quality by utilizing reduced fallow fields by cultivating Sasa kurilensis by laying a water permeable filtering bed over welldrained soil, preparing a humic soil layer on that bed, transplanting the hills of ground bamboos and raising them on specified conditions. SOLUTION: A water permeable filtering bed 14 is spread over well drained, a humic soil layer 15 for fixed thickness is prepared on the water permeable filtering bed 14, the hills of Sasa kurilensis are transplanted onto this humic soil layer 15 and the transplanted Sasa kurilensis are raised by performing vernalization treatment while sprinkling water over the humic soil layer 15 so as to spout water over the leaves of these transplanted Sasa kurilensis as well so that the Sasa kurilensis can be cultivated. In this case, obstacles are installed at the top ends of mother plant subterranean stem group of the Sasa kurilensis transplanted on the humic soil layer 15 and a subterranean stem group laterally derived from the mother plant and the Sasa kurilensis is cultivated with high concentration preferably.
