PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability of a thin film-superposed component against a moisture content and a chemical attack without causing disadvantage in expenses by allowing both of, or one of, films disposed directly below and/or above a metallic film having properties in the infrared to contain at least one member selected from among predetermined precious metals. SOLUTION: A transparent base material, for example, a glass base material, is formed with a thin film-superposed component including at least one metallic film, particularly a metallic film having low emissivity, which is disposed between two coats and has properties in the infrared. In this thin film-superposed component, the two coats contain at least one reflection-preventing film whose basic material is a dielectric material, respectively, and contain at least one protective film which is disposed between the metallic film and one of the coats and whose basic material is sacrificial metal, or partly or completely oxidized sacrificial metal, or sacrificial alloy. Further, both of, or one of, the films disposed directly below and/or above the metallic film contains at least one member of precious metals of Pd, Au, Ir, Pt and Rh.
