PURPOSE: To obtain a digital mapping device for supporting an airman in a flight by successively indicating a geographical and cultural superimposition and other data on a plurality of sectioned flying routes. CONSTITUTION: A mass storage device 10 for applying geographical information to be superimposed on a map data is controlled by a control means 20. A map digital picture in an area surrounding the plane is stored in a cash storage means 24. In response to a fist control processor means 50, a map data and superimposition data are detected in accordance with a coordinate position of the plane from the storage device 10, and renewed picture is applied to the cash storage means 24 by a second processor means 52 for controlling data indication. An address generating means 58 operates to read out the geographical data or superimposition data from the storage means 24 for transferring memory means 26, 44. Furthermore, in response to the first and second control processor means, a video generator means 34 changes the map data and superimposition data in signals capable of being indicated. Then, an indication means 38 operates to apply pictures capable of being indicated.
